We recently commissioned Hustad to handle from start-to-finish a $1.127MM roof replacement claim for a 256,000 sq ft. multi-family property in College Station, Texas that was damaged extensively by hail. Not only were Hustad’s representatives able to negotiate a detailed and comprehensive scope of loss with our insurers—including gutters, drains, and downspouts on 25 buildings and a clubhouse—they were able to do so seamlessly and to complete the entire project quickly. In fact, once was scope of loss was agreed upon, in less than four weeks our roofs and exteriors were fully restored. Suffice it to say that I have been in the business for decades and, until Hustad, had yet to encounter a roofing company that’s truly the total package in terms of its ability to operate on a nationwide scale, while also offering a high-touch, boutique-style service (and simultaneously providing a free, industry-leading software package along with year-over-year capex consulting to assist with our team’s management functions).

Hustad managed from start-to-finish multiple capex and insurance claim roof replacement projects for properties located in Alabama, Arkansas, Idaho, Texas, and Washington. Not only were Hustad’s representatives able to negotiate a detailed and comprehensive scope of loss with our insurers, they were also able to do so seamlessly and complete all projects quickly. In the case of the Arkansas property, our claim had previously been denied by insurance. After a year of working with the insurance company, our Hustad representative was able to convert the claim into one that resulted in full roof replacements throughout 75% of the property. Hustad’s service department is next to none in response time. I receive a same day response with an e-mail confirmation that my service ticket was received. E-mail notifications are sent once a tech is on site, the work is in progress and when the job was completed. A final e-mail is sent with pictures of the affected area and what was done to remedy the issue. Due to a hail storm, every shingled roof on our 30-acre campus needed to be replaced. We had our doubts about a single roofing contractor’s ability to complete the project in fewer than 60 days and expected the budget to balloon significantly beyond our deductible. We were pleased that neither was the case.
